OUR HISTORY
ALCOFORD CORPORATION traces its roots to a family business with a 20-year history of ethanol import and distribution in TOGO. However, in 2013, due to a devastating market fire, the company lost its warehouse and faced significant challenges. Determined to reclaim the market share and create a positive impact, our CEO, after completing university studies, envisioned a new path. He assembled a dynamic team and collaborated with smallholder-farmers in the Yoto rural region under an innovative block farming program. This initiative aimed to improve their livelihoods and leverage locally available raw materials, leading to the birth of ALCOFORD CORPORATION. Our mission is to produce ethanol locally, empower farmers, and foster sustainable development for rural communities.
OUR WORK
Alcoford Corporation is specializing in processing cassava and post-harvest losses or organic waste converted into biomass, for ethanol production using a unique multi-stage distillation technology to achieve high yields. Our ethanol is design for clean-cooking, or pharmaceutical applications, and cleansing products production, offering a sustainable alternative and contributing to reduce carbon emission while empowering women-farmers earn-better in cassava value chain.
We provide women farmers with high-yield cassava cuttings, mechanization services, and continuous support to increase their yields. Ensuring market access and fair prices, we transform their cassava produce into ethanol and related products.

Our vision is to lead the way in valorizing cassava starch and biomass in West Africa, becoming a benchmark producer of ethanol and green electricity from waste for rural electrification while empowering communities and fostering economic development.
Our mission is to unite thousands of smallholder-farmers, threatened by extreme poverty with limited access to resources, around a collaborative plan in cassava value-chain under a circular economy model for producing cost-effective ethanol and related-products including renewable electricity to meet the sub-regional demand while enhancing rural livelihoods, support environmental-sustainability and create a greener and more prosperous future for all stakeholders involved in our journey.

GENERAL APPLICATION OF DEHYDRATED ETHANOL (Clean cooking Ethanol)
The general application of dehydrated bioethanol is ideal for clean cooking for improved cookstoves and for the automotive sector to considerably reduce fossil fuels effects and greenhouse gas emissions.
The continuity of our production line allows us to dehydrate ethanol up to 99.99% to make a pure biofuel free of all impurities.

Denatured Ethanol 96% or 99% is made by adding denaturant such as DEP, MEK, Bitrex or as required and allowed as per excise laws to Ethyl Alcohol 96% or 99% (Ethanol) thereby making it unfit for potable use. The denaturant however does not affect the odour of the liquid.

OFF-GRID ELECTRICITY GENERATION: Through innovative anaerobic cogeneration technology, we convert organic waste from the ethanol production process into biogas, which powers an electrical turbine to generate green electricity. This decentralized energy approach bridges the energy gap in rural areas and reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
